Kids at a Wedding

Kids are great, but sometimes they can be a little bit of a hassle too. We wrote this to give you some tips on how to please your little guests during your wedding.

Seating Chart

Sometimes people think it makes more sense to have all the kids sitting at one table. However, a group of unsupervised kids can turn into madness very quickly. When making the seating arrangement for the rehearsal, sit the kids at the table with their parents. This allows the parents to handle a situation before it gets out of control.

  • Tip: Want the parents to get a break from their kids? Consider hiring a nanny for the event. This allows the parents to drop the kids off with responsible caretakers who can entertain them while the parents relax for a little.

Kid's Menu

When it comes to food, kids don't want anything fancy. Want to know how you will really impress them? Chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, and pizza are always sure to please the kids. Adding fun food to the kid's menu ensures they will eat without complaining. The more finger foods, the better. Check out some cute ways to incorporate kids food like the picture shown below, link here.

  • Tip: Consider adding special kid's desserts as well. Not every kid is going to enjoy your specialty wedding cake you had made. Maybe you can offer an ice cream sundae instead of the wedding cake.

Kids can get bored very quick, especially at a wedding. They are constantly told to sit down and be quiet. So why not give the kids something to entertain them? Coloring books and simple games can be a great way to accomplish this. They even make some specific to weddings to fit your occasion. • Tip: Try to give every kid the same gift/entertainment. The last thing you need on your wedding day is kids crying and fighting about who got what.
